What this directory is

Perth Solar Industry Guide lists 195 solar energy equipment suppliers across Perth Metropolitan. It exists for homeowners and businesses trying to work out which local solar installer or supplier is actually worth calling, without wading through scattered reviews and marketing pages one by one.

We built this for people at the research stage: comparing panel and inverter suppliers, checking who has a real local track record, and narrowing a shortlist before they request quotes. It is not a forum and it does not host discussion. It is a structured comparison tool built from public data.

Where the listing information comes from

Every business profile starts with public business data: things like registered details, service areas, and what the business publishes about itself. We add to that by synthesising recent Google reviews for each supplier, pulling out patterns in what customers mention (responsiveness, install quality, follow-up service, and so on). We do not copy or republish review text. If you want to read the original reviews, we link out to the business’s Google listing so you can see them at the source.

How rankings are earned

Rankings come from a published rubric applied to the data we collect, nothing else. No business can pay to move up the list, and sponsorship never touches the score. You can read exactly what we measure and how it’s weighted on the methodology page.

A business that appears here can flag factual errors in its own listing (a wrong phone number, an old address, an outdated service area) and we will correct them. What a business cannot do is edit its own score, its sentiment summary, or its position in the ranking. That stays independent, or the whole list stops meaning anything.

Sponsorship, clearly separated

Some pages include sponsored placements. These are always labelled “Sponsored,” displayed separately from the earned ranking, and never factored into a supplier’s score or position. If a business pays for visibility, that’s disclosed plainly where it appears rather than folded into the rankings.

What happens when you request a quote

Perth Solar Industry Guide is an independent directory and comparison resource. We also generate enquiries for local providers: when you ask to be matched, we pass your enquiry to providers relevant to your request and may receive a referral fee for doing so. That referral relationship never affects scores or earned rankings, and it’s disclosed again on the quote page itself.

Who is behind it

This directory is published by Scout Local Media, an independent Australian publisher (running this title since 2026) that builds local guides, business directories, and consumer resources to help people make informed decisions while giving quality local businesses better visibility online.
